The new line Victoria, Victoria Beckham represents the free spirited side to Victoria Beckham and is a seamless progression from the Victoria Beckham ready-to-wear. In keeping with her strong design aesthetic Victoria has created a collection that is not a second line but a completely original stand alone range that delivers a new unique product that stays true to the visions of her brand.
Following Victoria’s initial collaboration with Quentin Jones, 27 year old filmmaker, on a video that highlighted her Spring denim collection for Another Magazine online last year, this video evokes a playfulness which is the essence of the Victoria line. The video will launch in the windows at Harvey Nichols, Knightsbridge, London on January 30th as a part of the window and installation Victoria has collaborated on with the London store. Using the graphic shapes and vibrant colour palette of the collection captures the playful feminine spirit of the collection.
Quentin says “Working with Victoria has been really fun. From the first meeting she was open to new ideas and keen to produce something cool, without limiting what this could be by thinking commercially.
Victoria says “This collaboration is really exciting for me. For the Victoria line i wanted to appeal to a slightly younger audience – super chic but with a sense of humour and an edge and that’s exactly what Quentin brought to the creative process. I really wanted to capture the essence of the playful feminine character at the heart of the collection and Quentin has realised that for me in her unique, innovative style.”
